About the Artist

Where science
meets craft.

My art begins outdoors — in the field, in the forest, at the water's edge. Growing up I was always outside, searching for animals, fishing, climbing way too high up in a tree, ever in search of the perfect stick. Studying wildlife and conservation biology at Colorado State University gave me an intimate understanding of the natural world: the way light hits a feather, how lichen grows across stone, the improbable colors of a Colorado meadow.

That knowledge is the foundation of everything I make. Whether I'm painting a miniature portrait in watercolor or sculpting a tiny creature from clay, nature is always the starting point.

I am lucky enough to call Colorado home, so you may recognize some landscapes from along the front range, or the Vail valley. My home away from home will always be in Scotland. Having married a true scotsman, if we aren't with family, we love spending time in the highlands and exploring every inch of the gorgeous country!

I take commissions across a wide range of mediums and love collaborating with people who want something truly one-of-a-kind.
